St. Charles Surgical Center
Durr Heavy Construction executed work on a new patient parking lot for the St. Charles Surgical Center located in New Orleans. As the general contractor on this project, Durr provided a turnkey parking lot for the hospital. The entire site was excavated nearly 3 feet deep to make way for True Grid parking lot that acts as storm water detention center. Durr’s scope of work included demolition of existing foundations and sidewalks, site exaction, new decorative security fencing with automated gates, electrical for lights, electric vehicle car chargers, security cameras, irrigation system, and a full landscape package. During this process, Durr also took into consideration retaining the historical brick roadway on Felicity Street all while bringing the site up to date to modern standards.
