John McDonogh High School

Durr Heavy Construction completed work on a $1.2M project for the New Orleans Recovery School District and CORE Construction. The project included site-work and the removal and replacement of the existing utilities at John McDonogh High School. Durr’s work was part of a larger full-renovation effort of the historic Mid-City public school, located in New Orleans. For this project, Durr also installed two storm drainage systems underneath the pavement on the site. Durr worked diligently to carefully preserve the century-old campus of the school, which opened in 1902, while updating the site to meet the standards for Article 23 of the New Orleans’ Water Plan.
