Audubon / Zimpel Parking Lot

Durr recently executed the creation of a parking lot located at the corner of Audubon and Zimpel Streets in New Orleans, Louisiana. The scope of work on this project included concrete and rock parking, drainage, landscaping, and the installation of lighting and fencing. Over 400 yards of concrete were poured at the site, which included sidewalks and curbs. This project also utilized TrueGrid pavers, a drainage retention-friendly alternative to concrete and asphalt. The parking lot, adjacent to Tulane University’s Howard-Tilton Memorial Library, became accessible to students and faculty in late March. As with previous projects, Durr Heavy Construction is proud to have utilized eco-friendly methods such as TrueGrid to aid our clients in complying with Article 23 of the New Orleans’ Water Plan.
