Durr Names Executive Vice President
HARAHAN, LA (March 22, 2016) – Durr Heavy Construction is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert S. Wooderson as its Executive Vice President. The position took effect on March 21, 2016.
In his new role, Wooderson is responsible for business development, pre-construction services, estimating, client relations and other corporate functions. He will act in place of the CEO when necessary.

Wooderson comes to Durr with over 31 years of experience in institutional, government, military, commercial, resort, hospitality, civil and post-disaster construction. Before joining the Durr team, Wooderson served as President of Gibbs Construction since 2008. Prior to that, he was Project Executive/Vice President responsible for overseeing the estimating and pre-construction departments, including design-build and negotiated work.
Wooderson holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Management from the University of New Orleans. He is involved in various business and community organizations, having held leadership positions for groups such as the Jefferson Chamber and Associated Builders and Contractors New Orleans/Bayou Chapter. He has also been involved with charitable groups such as the Krewe of Endymion, the Knights of Columbus, Legatus, Men of Manresa, the St. Mary Magdalene School Board and Finance Committee and the Driftwood Park Civic Association Board. He was recently appointed by Mayor Landrieu to the New Orleans Workforce Development Board (2015-2017).
