Durr Names Chief Operating Officer
HARAHAN, LA (January 2023) – Durr Heavy Construction is pleased to announce the appointment of Lee C. Mayeux as its Chief Operating Officer. The position took effect on January 3, 2023.
In his new role, Mayeux is responsible for the operational performance of the company including project management, field operations, estimating, project development and other construction functions. He will act in place of the CEO when necessary.

Mayeux comes to Durr with over 26 years of experience from three major industrial contractors specializing in civil, mechanical, and heavy industrial disciplines. Before joining the Durr team, Mayeux served as Executive Vice-President of Mechanical and General Construction for EXCEL Contractors since 2018. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Operations for Cajun Industrial Design and Construction with responsibilities of providing direct oversight for three integrated business lines and the newly acquired mechanical arm of Cajun Industries including operations in Louisiana, Texas, and Pipe Fabrication.
Mayeux holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management from Louisiana State University, where he graduated as a member of the Construction Honor Society, Sigma Lambda Chi. Mayeux served on the Associated Builders and Contractors Pelican Chapter as a state board member, executive board member and board member and vice-chair for Governmental Affairs, Education & Manpower, Member Growth and Member services. He is also a member of ECC Future Leaders program, the St. Jude School Advisory board, Family Life Ministry (co-chair), St. Jude Prison Ministry and is active in coaching his daughters’ basketball and soccer teams.
