Construction Safety Week 2019

May 6th through May 10th marks the beginning of the 2019 National Construction Safety Week. Celebrated each year by thousands of construction industry professionals, the goal of Construction Safety Week is to strengthen the culture of safety in, on, and around construction sites.

The theme for 2019 is “Safe By Choice.” To be safe by choice means to make intentional decisions for yourself and others so that accidents are prevented. Here at Durr, safety is part of our culture. Durr Superintendent Norman gives this safety tip: “Always be aware of your surroundings and look out for your fellow worker.” 

Safety doesn’t come naturally. It’s something you learn and it’s something you work hard at. It is a choice you make every. single. day. Being safe starts with you. #ThePowerOfSafeChoices#ConstructionSafetyWeek2019
