Scope of Work

: This is the second occasion that Pull-A-Part has hired Durr Heavy Construction as its site work and utility contractor to construct their state of the art car and auto part salvage center.  Pull-A-Part is a national company, based out of Atlanta, which constructs and operates these technologically savvy auto salvage centers.  Durr takes the project from the ground up, starting with a piece of land that is heavily wooded and bringing it to fully functional site ready to accept Pull-A-Part’s vehicles and customers.

Specific work items performed:

• Cleared and grubbed a 20 acre site to prepare for sand and stone installation.
• Demolished approximately 7,000 cubic yards of concrete slab onsite.
• Installed 77,000 cubic yards of pumped river sand
• Installed 97,000 square yards of geotextile fabric
• 38,500 tons of crushed stone was installed, compacted and fine graded to drain as the new yard for the new Pull-A-Part Facility.
• New water and sewer service utilities were installed including a new state of the art treatment plant.
