Durr Heavy Construction, L.L.C. provided hurricane clean-up services for Jefferson Parish as they transitioned from the first response emergency contract, to a large scale full scope clean-up contract consisting of multiple specific task orders. Specific task orders performed in this contract include: (i) Right of Way (ROW) vegetative and Construction & Demolition (C&D) debris collection, removal and disposal; (ii) plan, manage and operation of multiple temporary debris storage and reduction site (TDSRS) locations throughout Jefferson Parish where our firm stockpiled and processed the incoming vegetative debris using commercial grinders; (iii) load and haul outgoing processed chipped debris to disposal facility; (iv) extract, load, dispose and backfill of hazardous stumps; (v) removal and disposal of hazardous trees, leaners and hangers, (vi) collected, hauled and disposed of white goods, and (vii) performed Right of Entry (ROE) demolition of numerous residential structures.Durr performed work in a variety of locations throughout Jefferson Parish including Metairie, Lafitte, Harvey and Grand Isle. Durr lead the parish clean up effort by performing multi-million dollars worth of work and employing over 25 subcontractors. Many of the subcontractors employed by Durr were from areas of the region affected by Hurricane Katrina.
