Durr Sponsors Blood Drive
HARAHAN, LA (January 25, 2008) –
Once again, Durr Heavy Construction, LLC sponsored a blood drive with the Ochsner Blood Bank.
Representatives of River Café and the Jefferson Parish School Board joined the Durr employees in giving the gift of life. Each of the 14 participants received a Mardi Gras long-sleeved t-shirt.
“We just missed our goal of 20 donors but with the weather so bad and the first night of parades, we are pleased with the turnout,” said Don Bonewitz, Director of Human Resources and Safety for Durr.
Several blood drives are scheduled throughout the year at Durr’s Hickory office and everyone is invited to give.
