DURR HEAVY CONSTRUCTION
Under a Single “Virtual Roof”
Thanks to a broadband network from Cox Business, Durr offices in New Orleans and Covington are operating on the same high-speed network as if they were in the same building.
Cox Business came up with an innovative solution that even meant working with an otherwise competing company, Charter Business, to link the office on Hickory Avenue, with the Batture location in New Orleans, and the Covington office on the north shore.
DURR is one of the first companies in the New Orleans area to take full advantage of Cox's "Transparent LAN" service, that will eventually be able to provide a direct link from the New Orleans area to anywhere from Lafayette to Slidell. Now the days of struggling to connect multiple locations are gone. The network is a big improvement over a system that relies on connections via multiple transports and service providers.
