SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct and coordinate activities of workers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure construction projects are completed according to project specifications, schedule and budget.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Direct activities of workers concerned with site preparation, land clearing and filling, demolition and other construction projects.
2. Plan procedures for construction on basis of starting and completion times, staffing requirements and tools and equipment available for project.
3. Insure that tools, materials, and equipment are delivered at specific times to meet work schedules.
4. Confer with subcontractors and other supervisory personnel in planning and coordinating various phases of construction to prevent delays.
5. Inspect work in progress to insure that workmanship conforms to specification and construction schedules are met.
6. Prepare daily reports which reflect daily production of job, material, equipment in use, labor and site conditions.
7. Monitor general safety program on job to include daily inspections, use of proper personal protection equipment, weekly safety meeting, and jobsite safety analysis.
8. Confer with Project Manager on a monthly basis that progress billing has been completed and forwarded to appropriate owner/general contractor.
9. Work with job project budget and Project Manager to determine job cost status in relationship to budget.
10. Consult with General Superintendent on daily basis to advise of current project status (work in place, budget, schedule, etc.) and to also exchange ideas and formulate solutions to help increase productivity and profitability.
11. A working knowledge and understanding of field engineering and blueprint principles and techniques to help insure quality control in field.
12. Perform all other duties and responsibilities requested by Project Manager.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED
Five (5) years experience as a Superintendent for a mid to large size site preparation, demolition or construction company.
