SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Install sub-surface system for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, water mains and ductwork for telephone/electrical utilities.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install and maintain piping and piping systems.

2. Assemble and install variety of metal and nonmetal pipe and pipefittings.

3. Join piping by means of threaded, caulked, wiped, soldered, or cemented joints.

4. Secure pipes to structures with clamps, brackets and hangers.

5. Install, repair and replace water and sewer mains, joining and caulking pipeline, repairing valves and hydrants, drilling and installing taps in mains.

6. Lay mains by fitting spigot end of one pipe section into bell end of another. Place wooden blocks under pipe to adjust pipe to line and grade, testing gradient with carpenter's level and install in accordance with plans and specifications.

7. Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by Pipe Foreman.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED

Three (3) to five (5) years experience as a pipelayer with a construction company.
