SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform surveying and mapping duties to obtain data pertaining to angles, elevations, points, and contours used for construction, mapmaking, boundary location, mining or other purposes.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Calculate layout information from field notes or plans using reference tables.

2. Plan, organize, and direct work of one or more survey parties engaged in surveying Earth’s surface to determine precise location and measurements of points, elevation, lines, areas and contours for construction.

3. Research previous survey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys.

4. Determine methods and procedures for establishing or reestablishing survey control.

5. Keep accurate notes, records and sketches to describe and certify work performed (Maintain field book and documentation).

6. Coordinate findings with work of engineering and architectural personnel, clients, and others concerned with project.

7. Perform all other duties and responsibilities assigned by Superintendent.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or GED

Five (5) years experience as a field engineer/surveyor for a mid to large size construction company.

Technical training as a field engineer/surveyor.

Must be able to work with others on a day-to-day basis.
