Durr names new Chief Executive Officer

HARAHAN, LA (January 5, 2015) – Durr Heavy Construction is pleased to announce the appointment of Dana Stumpf as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The position takes effect immediately.

Stumpf is taking the reins from her father and long-time CEO, Stephen Stumpf, who will remain with the company as Chairman.

“Dana has earned this role through years of experience within Durr and other companies, as well as in the community,” stated Durr Chairman Stephen Stumpf. “The company will no doubt benefit from her leadership and her vision.”

Stumpf, a third generation owner of Durr, has served as Chief Administrative Officer of the company since 2011. She has also served as the President of Gentilly Landfill since 2005 and was the former owner of the New Orleans Jesters.

Stumpf is involved in various business and community organizations including Louisiana Association of Business and Industry, New Orleans Regional Leadership Institute, Associated Builders and Contractors, NOLA Soccer Academy, GNO, Inc., Mount Carmel Academy, Vistage International, Young Presidents Organization and Salutare Deum Foundation. She has been recognized as an ABC Member of the Year and a CityBusiness Woman of the Year.
